Columbia sponsors fishing and celebs

IGFA (International Game Fish Association) has accepted the SADSAA Columbia Billfish Classic, a full release Billfish only tournament held in February 2010, as the only South African qualifying event for the IGFA Offshore World Championships. All entrants will receive an official Columbia PFG competition shirt and Columbia will be sponsoring R30 000 worth of apparel prizes.

Columbia recently sponsored the Boland Junior Flyfishing Teams for the 2009 Nationals (the A-team won gold, and B-team bronze and five were nominated to fish the Protea Trials). They also sponsor a group of 18yr olds who are trekking from Mont Aux Sources to the mouth of the Tugela, teaching local communities to be water wise.

Nico Panagio (Top Billing presenter and actor) will also be dressed in Columbia when he hosts the next SA Survivor series, to be aired in December.
